Spectral drums

This started life as a spectral model of a pair of tabla drums called tablur (tab-blur) where you could blur the synthesis into more pitched smears.

I added some parameters and adapted it for WOAS:

SHAPE scans through different sounds the model can produce.

With BEND and EFFECT at twelve o’clock you get a normal model of tabla, as you turn these knobs in either direction, the sound shifts.

EFFECT ccw is tempo locked delay, cw reverberation. DISTORTION controls reverb time.

Pressing WAVESNAP performs a fill at the current resolution.

The other controls are as per the stock WOAS engine.

Replacing your WOAS beat engine:

1. Disconnect all cables from your WOAS.
2. Turn over the device, unscrew and remove the 8 screws on the back panel.
3. Remove the back panel.
4. Locate the SD card holder at the bottom of the circuit board.
5. Press the SD card lightly to release it, trying not to touch the circuit board.
6. Remove the SD card.
7. Slot in the new SD card and push lightly to latch it in place.
8. Replace the back panel and screws.
9. Your WOAS is ready to use!
